A Woman's Experience
This tumblr is devoted to all things feminist. I am hoping it will become a forum for people of all gender identities, sexual orientations, and races to discuss issues involving feminism in a productive and informative way. I am a Women's and Gender Studies Minor and like all of you, am still in the process of exploring this topic and it's ramifications. I will do my best to be mindful of the experiences and perspectives of all women and encourage people to respectfully speak their minds. Coming from a white, heterosexual, cis-female, perspective anything that I write personally will be from my experience, I do not want to try to replicate the emotions or experiences of other identities.
I created this forum in order to continue to explore the area. I want to be able to synthesize what I am learning and reading about with my opinions to define what feminism means to me, for me, and for our future.

After realizing that a woman was running, race organizer Jock Semple went after Switzer shouting, “Get the hell out of my race and give me those numbers.” However, Switzer’s boyfriend and other male runners provided a protective shield during the entire marathon.The photographs taken of the incident made world headlines, and Kathrine later won the NYC marathon with a time of 3:07:29. This is a pro-choice victory even though anti-choicers will use it to further their agenda.
Pro-choice is about bodily autonomy and forcing someone to get an abortion deprives them of that choice.
